Investigations of the grain growth behaviour of nanocrystalline nickel

摘要
Heat release (Delta H) and temperature dependence during grain growth of electroplated Ni of 20 nm grain size was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The corresponding change in microstructure was monitored by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). A superposition of three exothermic reactions was observed. The results are discussed in comparison with measurements in 10 nm Ni-samples.
