摘要
The present study is mainly devoted to clarifying the basic role of a hard particle in a metal matrix based on Eshelby's theory of an inhomogeneity. Firstly, the stress and strain distribution around an isolated spherical particle has been visualized instead of leaving the classic fundamental approach as an analytical form. Secondly, the features of the matrix-particle interfacial stress characteristics have been examined. Thirdly, the work answers the question of how the misfit of the elastic constants affects stress transfer to the inhomogeneity. Finally, a verification has been made that the stress concentration in the matrix is normalized by the size of the inhomogeneity.
