摘要
The properties of a newly introduced, base deactivated, C-8 bonded, silica gel for solid phase extraction have been assessed using the drug propranolol. The compound was extracted from aqueous buffer and dog plasma. The properties of this new material have been compared with those of a conventional C-18 bonded material. These studies have shown that whilst both types of phase give high extraction efficiencies, the recovery profiles from the two types of cartridge obtained with methanol and acetonitrile as eluents are quite different.
