摘要
A method for calculating the lineshape of the ESR spectrum of polycrystalline substances with orthorhombic g-tensor is presented. It is shown how a least-squares computer fitting of the experimental spectrum can be made within a reasonable time, assuming either a Lorentzian or a Gaussian line shape for the individual components. When the deviation from axial symmetry is small, the calculations for a Lorentzian line shape can be performed analytically, thus further reducing computer time.
