摘要
The pyridine-insoluble residues of telocollinites and sporinites previously separated from British Carboniferous coals have been investigated further. The organic matrices of the sporinites appeared to have a common structure consisting of an aliphatic macromolecule substituted by aromatic, often phenolic rings. The organic matrices of the telocollinites consisted of aromatic rings connected by small hydroaromatic structures and substituted by small alkyl groups. The n.m.r. spectra gave little evidence of a common structure. Proton relaxation times showed all the insoluble residues to contain (n.m.r.) mobile material.
