摘要
White's version of the truncation method is applied to the d = 2 anisotropic XY model in a transverse field (AXY). This scheme is a significant improvement over the standard technique for ground state computations. We calculated a now diagram, critical exponents and energies. The new method has no special virtues however in predicting the localization of the phase transitions and its associated critical exponents.
