MICROMECHANICAL PREDICTION OF INITIAL AND SUBSEQUENT YIELD SURFACES OF METAL MATRIX COMPOSITES

摘要
A micromechanical theory that was derived for the prediction of the overall behavior of metal matrix composites is employed to generate initial and current yield surfaces under a variety of mechanical loading and anisothermal conditions. It is shown that under some loading conditions, the subsequent yield surfaces of the composite may exhibit significant translation and distortion as compared to the corresponding initial surfaces. © 1990.
