摘要
This paper presents a study of a method to improve intergranular stress corrosion cracking (IGSCC) resistance in the weld heat-affected zone (HAZ) of Ni-Cr-Fe alloy 600. The improvement was associated with control of the Nb stabilization parameter NBAR, representing the number of niobium atoms per carbon atom in the alloy. The SCC life behavior of improved alloy was examined in the 288-degrees-C pure water containing 8 ppm O2. The results showed that this new alloy is sufficiently resistant to IGSCC compared with ordinary alloy 600.
