摘要
An experimental technique for studying dynamic fracture toughness under stress wave loading is described in this paper. With a Bar Impact Testing Machine, the three point bending specimen was fractured under impact loading, the loading rate KI being approximately 106N/mm 3 2 · s. An accurate measurement of load and groove-opening displacement as function of time was made by applying a transient waveform storage, and the load applied on the specimen and the groove-opening displacement can be determined from the displacement rate according to which the dynamic fracture toughness KId was obtained. The typical load-displacement curve of a marble specimen with size of 180 × 40 × 40 is given in the paper. © 1990.
