Investigations of hexagonal ferrites as a gyromagnetic medium allows the analysis of phenomena related to the ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) in ferrites with high internal anisotropy. The present work deals with (Sc) - and (CoTi) - substituted M-type hexaferrite powders with general formula BaMxFe12-xO19, where M=(Sc) and (CoTi), while x=0-l.8; some relationships were established concerning the influence of the particle size, orientation and chemical content on the Mw absorption in a wide frequency range (5–70 GHz). © 1990 IEEE
