摘要
Vanadium pentaoxide hydrate, V2O5nH2O, was synthesized hydrothermally at 200-degrees-C as a standard sample to investigate the crystal structure of the so-called V2O5 gel. Identity of the formed material with the gel was confirmed by measuring interlayer spacing by XRD, adsorption of H2O, and observing electron diffraction pattern. The crystal structure of the material in the a-b plane was determined to be base centered orthorhombic one on the basis of ED pattern through Fourier transformation. The lattice parameters were determined as a = 4.234 nm and b = 0.360 nm from XRD pattern.
