IMPLICATIONS OF THE LEPTON HIGGS-BOSON GENERATION SYMMETRY IN A SUPERSYMMETRIC LEFT-RIGHT GAUGE-MODEL

Some remarkable issues are investigated concerning an unconventional type of supersymmetric left-right gauge model, where the fields with different lepton numbers are accommodated together in the SU(2)R multiplets. The phenomenology of the model is restricted by the generation symmetry in the lepton-Higgs-boson sector which is required to suppress enough the flavor-changing neutral currents mediated by the Higgs fields. The mass matrix of the neutralinos, in particular, has a certain form depending on the possible choices of the generation symmetry. The lightest state N(LSP) is then found to consist almost entirely of the SU(2)L X U(1)Y-singlet neutralinos which form the SU(2)R doublets together with the right-handed charged leptons. N(LSP) acquires a mass at most approximately 1 GeV or even much smaller for most choices of the generation symmetry. It hence may be identified with the lightest supersymmetric particle. Some stringent constraints on the model are obtained from the astrophysical and cosmological effects of such an N(LSP). The decays of superparticles would also look somewhat different, where N(LSP) is produced in the final state.
