INSITU ACTIVATION OF THE RANEY-NI COMPOSITE-COATED ELECTRODE FOR THE HYDROGEN EVOLUTION REACTION

摘要
The hydrogen discharge on a Raney-Ni composite-coated electrode was investigated in 1 M NaOH at 70°C. It is observed that the rate of the hydrogen evolution reaction may be significantly improved by the electrochemical formation of a nickel oxide, most likely βNi(OH)2, on those electrodes. © 1990.
