摘要
Silicon carbide/carbon (SiC/C) composite sheets of 0.1-0.3 mm thickness were made by heat treatment at 1200-degrees-1400-degrees-C in nitrogen from tape-cast green sheets of PCS/preheated coal-tar pitch/binder/plasticizer mixtures. The composite sheets made from PCS and coal-tar pitch preheated at 500-degrees-550-degrees-C had a bending strength of 20-25 kgf/mm2, density of 2.0-2.1 g/cm3 and electrical resistivity of 10(-2)-OMEGA-cm. The oxidation resistance and bending strength increased by mixing SiC with pitch carbon, and preheat treatment applied to the coal-tar pitch easily made a composite sheet.
