摘要
An efficient domain decomposition (DD) algorithm for solving nonlinear boundary value problems on multiple instruction multiple data parallel computers is presented. The linearization is done by Newton's method, and the linear system is solved by CG with DD preconditioning. Further, the DD approach allows finite element and Galerkin boundary element methods to be combined in a unified variational problem. Test computations on a transputer-based system were performed for both model problems and a real-life electric motor.
