摘要
A four-point shear specimen capable of measuring the critical strain energy release rate Gc over a range of mode mixity ψ between pure opening and pure shear is described and analyzed, including an evaluation of possible measurement errors. Data have been obtained over the full mixity range for soda-lime glass and PMMA. The results are used in conjunction with literature data on other materials to present a scheme that classifies trends among different materials. Application of the method to bimaterial interfaces is also discussed. © 1990.
