摘要:
We report on the low-field magnetic properties of the olivines manganese thiosilicate and thiogermanate and their alloys, from 4.2 to 250 K. For Mn2SiS4, we find a spontaneous magnetization occurring between 83 and 86K, antiferromagnetism below 83K and paramagnetism above 86K. The very sharp rise at the onset of the weak ferromagnetism presents interesting applications for this compound at 83K. As an example, we are considering the feasibility of using Mn2SiS4 in the design of particle detectors.
