摘要：

This paper distinguishes three geo-ecological zones in China: the southeast wet zone, the northwest dry zone and the intermediate transitive zone. The relationships between geo-ecological zone and endemic diseases are highlighted, with examples on schistosomiasis, Keshan and Kaschin Beck diseases, and fluorosis. Remote sensing technology has proved to be useful in identifying, analyzing and monitoring the distribution of these diseases.
