HETERODYNING OF FIBER OPTIC ELECTRONIC SPECKLE PATTERN INTERFEROMETERS USING LASER-DIODE WAVELENGTH MODULATION

摘要
Modulation of the emission wavelength of a laser diode is demonstrated as a heterodyning technique for measuring the phase and amplitude of a vibrating object using continuous wave (cw) illumination in a time-averaged electronic speckle pattern interferometer. The technique is demonstrated with an interferometer constructed from single mode optical fibre.
