摘要
Drying of sodium sulfate solutions was studied in a 2-inch diameter batch fluidized bed dryer at 140° C. The solution was fed through a hypodermic needle into the hot fluidized bed. The operating conditions were: bed height 2, 4, and 6 inches; air flow rate 20, 27.5, and 35 SCFH; and feed concentration 10, 20, and 30 weight %. The bulk density and the particle size distribution of the dried product were measured. The product bulk density increased with the increase in feed concentration. A correlation between the bulk density and the operating variables is reported. © 1969, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
