摘要
This article examines patterns to the cited literature on gaming and natural resources and the environment. The literature on gaming is smaller but the two topics are comparable and comprise two of the most important topics related to contemporary American Indian issues. Both issues reflect the rich heritage of historical literature on American Indians and show that the present is closely linked to the past. In comparison to previous research, this study found the highest percentage of citations to government publications. The article reflects on the significance of this finding, shows patterns to the cited government and nongovernment literature, and identifies topics meriting further investigation.
