HIGH-QUALITY FLUORESCENCE DECAY CURVES AND LIFETIME IMAGING USING AN ELLIPTIC SCAN STREAK CAMERA

摘要
The high quality fluorescence decay curves obtained with an elliptical scan streak camera are presented and compared with those obtained using the time-correlated single-photon counting (TC-SPC) technique. It is shown that the streak camera employed overcomes a long-standing difficulty associated with other types of streak camera in that accurate decay times longer than 3 ns can be measured and reliable lifetimes in the range 90 ps (limited by the laser pulse width employed) to 13 ns are obtained. To show the capability of this streak camera, three-component decays of solid tetraphenyl porphyrin (TPP) and preliminary results of the fluorescence lifetime imaging of a cross-section of a camellia leaf are given. © 1990.
