摘要:
Self-focusing on a point source using an acoustic time-reversal mirror (TRM) permits to test the invariance under time-reversal in fluids. The presence of vorticity in the fluid breaks time-reversal invariance as can be shown with a TRM by measuring the deflection of a time-reversed focused acoustic wave propagating through a uniform distribution of vorticity. Experimental as well as theoretical aspects are presented.
