SOLID ROTATOR PHASES IN 2,2,4,4-TETRAMETHYL-3-TERT-BUTYL-PENTANE-3-OL (TERT-BU3COH)

摘要
The infrared spectroscopy, proton magnetic resonance, dielectric measurements and differential thermal analysis methods were employed to investigate solid 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-3-t-butyl-pentane-3-ol (TTBC). TTBC was found to appear as a monomer in solid state which creates favorable conditions for molecular rotation with the spherical structure of molecules. Temperature existence ranges for internal and molecular rotator phases have been determined.
