摘要
Acicular chromium dioxide (CrO//2), a material with excellent magnetic properties especially when it is doped with Fe and Sb, is used in the manufacture of magnetic tapes and disks. In the manufacture process, an undesirable chemical deterioration of the material occurs. In previous papers, a stabilization process was proposed in order to prevent the degradation. The aim of this note is to analyze by X-ray diffraction the crystal lattice modifications produced by Fe ion doping and their migration owing to the various stages of the stabilization process. We correlate such modifications with the variations of the magnetic properties.
