摘要
There is a burgeoning literature on the relationship between democracy and war. Building on the knowledge already gained on this topic; this paper suggests several areas for further verification, clarification, and extension. It addresses especially the need to attend to data coding conventions, opportunity asymmetries, context-specific explanations, reciprocal causality, historical contingency, and rules of translation between different levels of analysis.
