CONDUCTIVITY ENHANCEMENT AND MICROSTRUCTURE IN AGCL AGI COMPOSITES

摘要
Distinct anomalies of the ionic conductivity are found in the two-phase system AgCl-beta-AgI. Impedance spectroscopy and mi-crostructure reveal that the conduction pathways consist of homo-(AgCl/AgCl or beta-AgI/beta-AgI) as well as hetero-(AgCl/beta-AgI) contacts both exhibiting enhanced sigma-values. Particularly the analysis of the activation enthalpy indicates vacancy conduction in the interfacial regions. The effects are discussed in terms of the quantitative space charge model given previously.
