摘要：

It is often easier for investigators to specify treatment effects in percentage change in the mean and variability in coefficients of variation. We show that with this specification questions about sample sizes for two-sample tests on means can be answered. We present methods for known variance normal and the noncentral t distribution for sample size and power calculations. Sample size tables are developed for the normal and lognormal distributions.
