摘要
Atomic Al develops a population inversion and stimulated emission in the resonance fines when a solid target in a H-2 buffer gas is irradiated with ArF 1930-angstrom laser light. We present experimental evidence that the H- ion is responsible for this effect, through charge-neutralizing collisions with Al+.
