PREDICTION OF DIFFUSION-COEFFICIENTS OF CARBON-DIOXIDE IN WATER AND IN AQUEOUS ELECTROLYTIC SOLUTIONS

摘要
An empirical correlation given by D-12/T=1.013 x 10(-14)eta(-0.9222) is proposed for predicting binary/pseudo binary diffusion coefficients of carbon dioxide in water and in aqueous electrolytic solutions, where D-12 is diffusion coefficient [m(2)/s], T is temperature [K], and eta is viscosity [Pa s]. The average absolute deviation AAD for this correlation is 5.6% for the literature data on D-12 Of CO2 in water with number of data points N of 79 and 3.9% (N=103) for those in aqueous electrolytic solutions. The above correlation obtained in this study is more accurate than the various empirical correlations proposed in the literature.
