摘要
A Wilhelmy method for the rapid assessment of the dynamic wetting of solids has been described and tested by studying the movement of a glycerol/water solution on PMMA. Its application, at present, is limited to the velocity regime where tensiometric methods are applicable. In addition to its experimental convenience it rapidly produces a greatly expanded number of contact angle-velocity values compared with conventional tensiometry. Good agreement is found between the new method and the discrete data obtained by more conventional methods. © 1994, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
