摘要
We have discovered that low molecular weight polyethylene glycols (average molecular weights of PEGs, 600-1000) may be insolubilized on fabrics by their reaction with dimethyloldihydroxyethyleneurea (specific concentrations and catalysts) under conventional pad-dry-cure treatment conditions to produce textiles that are thermally adaptable even after laundering. This treatment is applicable to many fiber types, but preliminary results described in this communication focus on cotton, cotton/polyester, and wool fabrics.
