LASING WITHOUT INVERSION IN A MASER WITH INJECTED ATOMIC COHERENCE

摘要
The operation of a maser with injected atomic coherence is analyzed in this work. The initial atomic coherence between two lasing levels of active atoms locks the phase of the maser field and eliminates the threshold of the field. The disappearance of the threshold makes "lasing without population inversion" possible in the maser with injected atomic coherence. We also present a simple physical picture to account for the lasing without inversion. © 1990.
