摘要
The case is made for the considerable improvement in the analytical potential of Raman spectroscopy resulting from the use of near-infrared sources and interferometers. The relatively low cost of the equipment, its speed of operation, the lack of skill required in its operation, all combine to make the cost per spectrum very modest. This paper Provides a brief but relatively comprehensive overview of the industrial applications to which the method has already been applied and lays particular emphasis on the quantitative potential of the method in an industrial environment.
