SYNTHESIS OF LANTHANUM ALUMINATE BY A CITRATE-COMBUSTION

摘要
Fine-particle lanthanum aluminate powders are prepared by the self-ignited combustion process of a corresponding nitrate-citrate precursor. The thermal decomposition characteristics and crystallization behavior of the precursor have been investigated by TGA, DTA and X-ray diffraction. The particle morphology was observed using SEM. The sintering density when sintered at 1450 degrees C for 4 h achieved 92% of the theoretical density.
