A LIGHT DARK-MATTER CANDIDATE IN AN EXTENDED SUPERSYMMETRIC MODEL

We consider the minimal extension of the supersymmetric standard model (extended by the addition of a single chiral supermultiplet to induce Higgs mixing). Just as in the standard model, the lightest particle is expected to be stable, making it a dark-matter candidate. Unlike, the standard model, for certain values (signs) of parameters, the dark-matter candidate may be quite light. In this paper, we discuss in detail the conditions for a light dark-matter candidate in the minimal extension of the supersymmetric standard model.
