摘要
This paper is concerned with studies in respect to improvement of thermal performance of phase change materials (PCM's) in concrete. It examines the effects of concrete alkalinity and considers means of rendering concrete more compatible with some PCM's. Also covered are the means of PCM incorporation and the effects of PCM temperature, concrete temperature, immersion time and PCM dilution on PCM absorption during the impregnation process. The reduction of moisture absorption in PCM concrete is observed. The effects of concrete modification and improved PCM incorporation techniques are shown to have increased thermal storage up to about 300%. The economic impact of PCM concrete is also examined. © 1990.
