摘要
The rollability and forgeability of a rapidly-solidified Al-Cr-Zr-Mn alloy powder has been studied and the effect of strain during hot-rolling on tensile properties assessed for two powders of this type. Good combinations of tensile strength and ductility have been achieved by judicious selection of degassing, compaction and rolling conditions. The occurrence of significant age-hardening on heat treatment at 400-degrees-C is proof of the effectiveness of the procedure adopted in retaining supersaturation of solutes achieved by the initial rapid solidification stage.
