摘要
The formation of foam films, particularly Newton black films, stabilized with insoluble (or slightly soluble) monolayers obtained from the gas phase, is discussed. Microscopic foam films, stabilized with n-decanol monolayers obtained by adsorption from the gas phase were studied by the microinterferometric technique. Depending on the state of the decanol monolayers at the aqueous solution/air interface (determined by the temperature) and on the electrolyte concentration of the solution, different types of films could be obtained: thick equilibrium film, Newton black films, or films that rupture after reaching a particular critical thickness.
