摘要
Basic absorption and fluorescence properties of a unique set of chromophores, the tetrabenzoporphyrins (TBPs) (MgTBP, ZnTBP and H2TBP) are examined in a variety of solvents, mixtures and special matrices. Methods of fine-tuning the extremely sharp resonance bands of these chromophores are demonstrated. Potential applications of these dyes as either ultra-sensitive probes or photosensitizers are briefly discussed, whereby the special matrices play a very important role. © 1990.
