LIQUID LIQUID AND LIQUID VAPOR SEPARATION IN HARD-SPHERE YUKAWA MIXTURES

摘要
We show through microscopic theories and computer simulation that in equal diameter hard sphere Yukawa mixtures a "cross-over" occurs from the liquid-liquid to the liquid-vapor separation regime at a well defined value of the interaction strength between unlike particle species; this "crossover" is marked by a sudden step of the zero wavevector limit of the cross partial structure factor from minus to plus "infinity". The results are discussed also in relation to the phase stability of some real mixtures.
