UPPER AND LOWER BOUNDS OF THE EFFECTIVE TRAPPED-PARTICLE FRACTION IN GENERAL TOKAMAK EQUILIBRIA

摘要
An upper bound and a lower bound of the effective trapped particle fraction, ft, in general tokamak equilibria are constructed by invoking the Schwartz inequality. A weighted average of these bounds that is easily evaluated is shown to give an accurate estimate of ft over a wide range of equilibrium parameters. © 1995 American Institute of Physics.
