EFFECTS OF TEMPERATURE ON CONDUCTION AND POLARIZATION IN PORTLAND-CEMENT MORTAR

摘要
The electrical impedance of Portland cement mortar was measured over the temperature range 10-80 degrees C. Both the real and imaginary components of the complex impedance were found to be temperature dependent and linked through an Arrhenius relationship over the range 10-50 degrees C. Both conduction and polarization processes are thermally activated with an activation energy of, respectively, 19.4 and 4.6 kJ/mol. At temperatures in excess of 50 degrees C, sample impedance was almost independent of temperature.
