摘要
The authors have demonstrated, for the first time, 10Gbit/s transmission over 360km of embedded standard fibre cables. During the five month long field experiment, the 1.55mum, 10Gbit/s IM/DD system showed long term 'error free' transmission (less than 10(-16) BER) with an optical repeater spacing of 120km (33dB repeater span loss).
