摘要
Small angle neutron scattering is shown to be a powerful method for detecting microphase separation in solid solutions of paraffin hydrocarbons. The progressive annealing of ingrown superstructures has a function of temperature for 1:4 mixtures of C30H62 : C36D74n-paraffins is reported at temperatures well below the melting point. The fast ingrowth of density fluctuations with a period of about 180 Å is reported for samples at 27°C rapidly quenched from the melt. This behaviour correlates with recently reported anomalies in the heat capacity of these systems. © 1990.
