摘要
The theoretical efficiencies of a solid adsorption heat pump (using fixed bed heat exchangers) are discussed as a function of the number of cascades. A systematic analysis of the heat and entropy flows in and out the heat pump are presented in a case study. The impact of the number of cascades and of the temperature differences associated to the heat transfer are discussed using the usual efficiency concepts but also using the entropy generation number as introduced by Bejan.
