ON MODELING COMPONENT PROCESSES IN THE EARTHS GLOBAL ELECTRIC-CIRCUIT

摘要
There are many component processes interacting simultaneously in the Earth's global electric circuit. The three main generators in the circuit are thunderstorms, the ionosphere wind dynamo, and the solar wind/magnetosphere dynamo. This paper reviews the progress made in recent years in modeling the various generators and their mutual interactions. The progress made in modeling various component processes that affect the distribution of electric fields and currents is also reviewed.
