摘要
Basic hydrolyses carried out on the glycopeptide antibiotic teicoplanin or its acidic hydrolysis products gave rise to an epimeric species which retained little antibiotic activity. The detailed structure of a sample epimer was determined using 1H NMR spectroscopy.
