摘要
A comparison study between electron energy spectra calculated from electron density profiles at altitudes between 90 km and 160 km obtained simultaneously from the EISCAT Common Program One (CP 1) and from in-situ observations by DMSP satellites at the top of the ionosphere, is presented. By using the electron density profiles, obtained from the CP 1 at Tromso, as a function of altitude, electron energy spectra are calculated through an inversion technique, a modified version of CARD originally developed by Brekke et al. (1989), which provides spectra with energies of more than 1 keV. The comparison of the spectra obtained from these two methods has shown that CARD provides sufficiently realistic spectra.
