摘要
The triple junction character distribution in a very pure nickel polycrystal is established by electron channelling patterns on the basis of the grain boundary coincidence concept. A ''special'' triple junction constituted by three near coincidence grain boundaries is thoroughly investigated by transmission electron microscopy, and its geometrical configuration is analysed in terms of the Herring condition for equilibrium. Then, the crystallographic arrangement at the triple junction is emphasized by high resolution electron microscopy and discussed in accordance with Bollmann's criteria for a nodal balance of adjoining grain boundary dislocation networks.
